Ethics Statement
I want Adam on Tech to be something you can trust. Here's exactly how I operate — no fine print.
Sponsorships
Sponsored content is extremely rare on this channel. When I do partner with a company, it's only one whose product I actually use and trust, and any sponsored material is clearly disclosed.
Product reviews
Most of the gear I cover, I bought myself. Occasionally a company will send me something at no cost — when that happens, I always say so. A free product never buys a positive review or guarantees a video at all.
My non-negotiables
- I keep full creative control over my content and my publishing calendar.
- I don't submit videos for approval or pre-review by anyone outside my channel.
- Reviews are my honest opinion, full stop.
- I don't work with Amazon resellers or pre-production hardware.
- I keep full control over the links I use and where I share them.
- If a product was provided free, YouTube's paid promotion label gets turned on.
- No coordinated embargo "wave" releases.
Why all this matters
I just want to keep having fun making videos, and that disappears the moment these guidelines do. The relationship I have with this community is worth more than any deal. Big thanks to YouTuber Tom Buck, whose own ethics statement inspired this one — I'd love to see more creators publish theirs.
